I have been working on the interior design of a new office studio in Brighton and wanted to cover one of the walls with some inspirational wallpaper. No easy feat! Leaving the traditional behind, I finally came across the fantastic and innovative designs from the fabulous Aimee Wilder, who has created designs for work, life and play.
Born in New York, Aimée took inspiration from time spent in the fashion showrooms where her parents both worked.

Best known for her Analognights and Robots prints, Aimée has developed designs that scream retro, contemporary and old school cool! Other products include Retro Robot Plasters, Cushions and Vans Trainers. www.aimeewilder.com

It seems we are certainly flying the flag this season as the British influence is hitting many areas of design. Here are some of the best products currently available.

Jan Constantine has probably the broadest range of hand embroidered textiles currently available on the Internet, offering cushions, aprons, wall hangings, tea cozy’s and much more. Personally I just love her funky British cushions and hangings.

I also love British Designer Jake Phillips Jeeves’s bowler hat, which is lined with a refined gold interior. You may have seen on the latest Ford Ka TV Ad, which boasts the coolest set design I have seen in a while… Jake’s Designs exude that quintessential British combination of regimented style and eccentricity.
Available from the hidden art shop. (£210 for single)

Other fantastic designs you just have to see are these contemporary rural printed products available from Snowdenflood, a British Designer based in London. Lovin’ this Battersea Power Station Apron (£17.50)

And as seen on Big Brother, The London Eye Mug (£11.95)
Perfect for drinking coffee while relaxing on the sofa with this amazingly soft Union Jack leather cushion from coffee and cream.
(£80) But So Sexy!
