So which designers and top brands will be causing a buzz and a stir in the New Year?
NK Agency have a fantastic selection of Nordic children’s wear and baby products. Finally something that isn’t full of flowers or too much blue/pink. Brands include Elodie Details, Skummis, Snoffs and Snadi.
Another line that you will absolutely love is the trays, tables and chairs designed by Ary from Sweden.
I love shopping around and what with the Christmas fever sure to follow the cold turn in the weather, I thought I’d share some of my favourite places to start the search…
Rose and Grey offer lovely affordable things for the home. SALE!
I was lucky enough to grab an hour with Lisa Stickley at her shop near Clapham High Street, where I got to know a little more about what inspires Lisa’s designs as well as her exciting new book project.
Book launched July 2010 - Available from Lisa Stickley £16.99
Lisa launched her book Made at Home, in June - An absolute must have for all creative homes!
For when the sun goes in like it has today, turn on the warmth indoors with these fantastic lamps, light and lanterns from some of Frocka’s fave shops!
I have been working on the interior design of a new office studio in Brighton and wanted to cover one of the walls with some inspirational wallpaper. No easy feat! Leaving the traditional behind, I finally came across the fantastic and innovative designs from the fabulous Aimee Wilder, who has created designs for work, life and play.
Born in New York, Aimée took inspiration from time spent in the fashion showrooms where her parents both worked.
Airdale
Bonsai
Leafdamask
Lifedistraction
Best known for her Analognights and Robots prints, Aimée has developed designs that scream retro, contemporary and old school cool! Other products include Retro Robot Plasters, Cushions and Vans Trainers. www.aimeewilder.com
I think this product is the best design product I have seen for some time! It can be used by anyone, anywhere, anytime for creating, collaborating and contributing! Fantastic!

Lullabies and fairytales come included at 40 Winks, so get out your best PJ’s and slouch socks and come on over…
This four storey Queen Anne townhouse was built in 1717 and has now been lovingly and elegantly converted into a beautiful boutique Hotel, by well known London interior designer David Carter.
Offering only two rooms, Carter himself claims that 40 winks may be the smallest boutique Hotel, but also the most fantastical.
With an eclectic mix of the traditional and the contemporary, for me 40 winks can only be described as a bold, yet romantic home from home that I can’t wait to stay in and explore.
Lights out, and Carter’s on hand with fantasy tales and bedtime stories which are regularly open to up to 40 visitors.
