The Real Greek Review
The Real Greek was first opened in Hoxton in 1999 by Celeb Chef Theodore Kyriakou. It was so good it won him the Best New Restaurant Award in 2000 and from there he went on to open another seven Restaurants across London.
The last time I stayed in London for the weekend, I just happened upon his Covent Garden Restaurant, not having know anything about it before, but even from the outside, it started drawing me in.
Now I can safely say that I absolutely love this place. It’s interior is designed in such a way that it’s a bar as well as a restaurant. The first time I walked into this place, I immediately wanted to open my own version in Brighton.
If you, like me, are the kind of person who sometimes just wants to go out for a really good glass of wine, in that cool yet worldly bar, but also want to eat some picky foods without being forced to eat one huge plate, then this is the restaurant for you. It allows me to fulfill my need to prove that I’m still hip enough to go out in town, without having to break my back or the bank for that matter.
